Have questions about our courses, the CCW process, or training in California? We have answers.Q: Do I need prior firearms experience to attend the CCW Initial Course?
A: No prior experience is required, but students must already be proficient in drawing their primary firearm from a holstered position before attending Day 2 (the range day).
Q: What is a CCW permit?
A: A CCW (Carry a Concealed Weapon) permit allows California residents to legally carry a concealed firearm in public. Our courses meet all California DOJ requirements for both initial applications and renewals.
Q: Do I need to be cleared by the Riverside Sheriff before attending?
A: Yes. You must be cleared by the Riverside Sheriff’s Office before scheduling your class. Students who attend without prior authorization will need to retake the class and pay the full fee again.
Q: What firearms can I qualify with?
A: Qualification of 2 firearms is included with the class. Each additional firearm beyond 2 is $15 per firearm. You may qualify up to 5 firearms total on the day of qualification.
Q: What is your refund policy?
A: There are no refunds once a class is booked. In the event of an emergency, students may reschedule to another available date of their choice, if openings are still available.
Q: Where are classes held?
A: Theory/classroom training is held at 28780 Old Town Front St, Suite A3, Temecula, CA 92590. Live-fire range training is held at Fallbrook Shooting Range, 3139 Rainbow Valley Blvd, Fallbrook.
Q: What should I wear to class?
A: No open-toed shoes (no crocs, sandals, flip-flops, etc.). Wear proper range attire that protects the chest and neck area from hot brass casings.
